Remarkable picture, small mammals so difficult to photograph in the wild.
This is a really difficult one as you can not see the usual black tail tip (stoat) or white paw(s) (stoat). Also you can not see enough to judge by body shape. However, there are two clues; weasels tend to have a slightly broader face (as in this picture) and they have a brown line extending from the ear forward under the jawline, you can just see this in the picture. Have a look at pictures of stoats and weasels on iSpot and Google and you will see what I am referring to.
