Toadstool or Fungi

Observed: 2nd November 2011 By: LauraRushton

Toadstool/Fungi found in my garden by the rocks in the woodchip. Think stalk, tallest around 3inch high varing in size, Grey and charcoal colour. I don't know what type they are.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

    Likely ID
    Psathyrella sp.
Confidence: I'm as sure as I can be.
Species interactions

No interactions present.

Wood chips

Yes, I am a great fan of woodchips, especially when they are laid down as a path in damp woodland.

They can be very good for Psathrella species, though I have to admit that many would not consider that to be a positive attribute!
