This bird has bought a pigeon down in the garden twice since August, this is the first time I could get a picture. It is suggested that this is a Goshawk, can anyone confirm this for me please. It is a sizeable bird maybe 18 inches beak to tail.

On the enlarged photo there appears to be prominent barring, and its seemingly short neck length suggests sparrow hawk to me.
