Description:

After a lot of travel, I finally got a chance on this 1st November sunny afternoon to call in to my local NR. Still no water in the main Odo pond - dry as a bone! Not expecting to see anything, I did see four darters, two of which cooperated for me. Both were Common Darters: one male, one female. Hang in there, guys!

I too saw one yesterday but could not get a shot,it seem's very late in the year but I suppose were having very mild weather. They are so amazing to watch.

Season's too short

Yes, they are very entertaining, aren't they? I hate the winter - just can't figure out what to do with it since I gave up skiing. Let's hope our winter migrant birds provide some entertainment. :D

Soon be gone

It is amazing how quick time goes we will be re photographing the first butterflies of spring before we know it.There are loads of winter migrants back already as I have over 200 Fieldfares residing in the hayfields around my house plus Goldfinches, Brambling's but always feed them well over the next few months.
