Wild rose

Description:

This wild rose does seem to have the long stylus associated with the field rose, Rosa arvensis, but I'm a bit bemused as it was flowering in June. A look at the hips may help with the identification.

Thanks Tim. I did have a look

Thanks Tim. I did have a look to see if there were any hips on the plant, but there were none. I will have to have a closer look next year!

It would be good to look at

It would be good to look at the sepals as these can help distinguish R. arvensis and R. stylosa.
