Description:

Help please, I've been unable to identify this myself, found growing in a woodland, slightly hairy leaves. Any help appreciated. Wasn't sure if it could be herb robert but the leaves don't look similar enough.

Ranunculus

This looks like a Buttercup leaf , hairy leaf with the middle lobe on a stalk. Herb Robert leaves are more delicate, often with a red tinge to the edge of the leaves and also red stems (they have a strong odour too).

I was about to say the same

I was about to say the same thing - they look a lot like buttercup leaves to me, although to be fair there aren't many leaves I know all that well, so there could be a lot that look like that!
