Notes: this rose is far too barby pink to be a dog rose, dog rose is a pale soft pink, this rose is deep intense pink. Also the leaf looks thicker and is not as cerated as wild dog rose. It looks likely to be a Rosa Rugosa - a species often planted in parks and gardens and other ammenity green spaces including shopping centre car parks. The flowers are deep pink ( some cultivars are purple/red or white) it usually has extreamely dense thorns, has a prolonged flowering season. the leaves often turn shades of yellow/red in autumn and the flowers are followed by large red hips
