why dont you guys have a look at thereal gooseneck barnacle ie Mitella/Pollicipes pollicipes, http://eol.org/pages/2949347/overview
or http://www.marlin.ac.uk/speciesinformation.php?speciesID=4159
and try Lepas anatifera the common goose barnacle Instead

Brilliant! You've bumped off the last of the mitellas (hopefully until someone finds a real one). You can see how many there were by searching "gooseneck" or "Mitella" in Ispot
