Mustard Yellow droplet shaped on needles of pine not sure which one.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
Will have a look on internet,I wonder if there is a book on Myxomycetes.
Hard to ID from photos, not that easy from ID books either.
Bruce Ing's book is good if you can get a copy.
Myxomycetes: Handbook of Slime Molds by Stephenson, Stempen and Steven is not bad for starters.
Another to add to my Christmas present list, will go for the starters one.
Don't forget Nannenga-Bremekamp A Guide to Temperate Myxomyces.
I'd love a copy of 'Myxomycetes: Handbook of Slime Molds', but I think that's one I'll have to buy myself. Friends and relatives think I'm quirky enough without me adding fuel to the fire!
I have given up on what people think but I do know what you mean.I do it on purpose now to see the dismay on there faces. The worst response was the Hardback copy of Caterpillars of the British Isles I chose instead of the bottle of expensive perfume I was offered.Book is fantastic
I will have a look at that one too.
Book beats perfume any day for me too. People just shake their heads when I talk about slime moulds. Ah well. Past caring these days :)
