Frogspawn

Same day as our garden pond in Stockton-on-Tees saw the first spawn.

Are you sure these aren't

Are you sure these aren't Common Frogs (Rana temporaria)? All Pool Frogs in the UK are from introductions and they also tend to spawn a bit later.

Think you're right

I've tried to change it to common frog but now I've ended up with two identifications. Don't know how to delete the incorrect one. oops!

Rob Coleman's picture

You can't delete the old

You can't delete the old idents, but that doesn't matter as when people agree with your correction that one gets pushed to the top as the 'likely ID'.

The frogs started spawning

The frogs started spawning here in Co. Antrim, N.I. on 17th March 2010 - amazing to watch, just hope the resisdent herons/hawks won't eat it all like other years!
