How can I tell a dwarf gorse(Ulex minor) from a common gorse (Ulex europaeus) which just happens to be short?
Seem to recall James Bullock wrote a paper on the difference between the 3 species of gorse in uk, will see if i can find it.
I don't know how to tell the difference in summer - I had a go this year and found it beyond me, so am looking forward to help with this, too. But would it be safe to assume that any gorse found blooming in January is Common Gorse?
There is some pointers here from Circuta on Western Gorse
Whats Happening ???
