The photos show the same beetle, the right way up and upside down.
No interactions present.
You can make a second observation with a zoomed up image of the head for the Mite that is behind the eye.
I think this could be C.coriaceus ,it is certainly found in the region ,but there are similar species ,so I haven't given a definate ID.
