The clear one id dead and the blueish one is fresh, were there many on the beach as strandings can be reported to the Cornwall Wildlife Trust Strandings Network, It would be worth checking other beaches near by for more.
There were several (10 - 20) on the beach. They seem to be a fairly frequent occurrence but I have never noted if they show any seasonal pattern.
Note that you have the two versions here.

'Sails' are set north-west to south-east or north-east to south-west. They sail different directions - cool eh?
