One of these was in my bathroom yesterday, lovely moth :)
Silver Y are always a nice species to see either on the wing flitting between flowers or at rest. They are documented as being on the wing until late Autumn, but they do seem to be around very late this year after a poor showing earlier in the Summer.
How common are they this year? We have only had 2 visit our garden this year, normally there are dozens. I have found none on the coast at Walton-on-the-Naze another good area usually.
