I know beef steak fungi are edible but are there any other bracket fungi you can eat?

I don't know about other

I don't know about other brackets you can eat, but we did try to cook and eat a beefsteak fungus we found and it was awful. An acquired taste for sure!

I was told to soak it

I was told to soak it overnight in milk and then discard the milk. Personally I think they told me the wrong bit to discard;)
