Unidentified fungi, Loglands, Hull

Observed: 18th October 2011 By: s.l.garlick
DSCF5142 1

Unknown fungi soecies within a shaded, wooded area within Loglands Nature Reserve area at Longhill Hull. The ground was quite damp with rich soil, a covering of moss and leaf litter (mainly comprised of hawthorn leaves). No exact measurements were taken as I was leading a nature trail quiz at the time. However the fungi specimens were quite small - approx. 5-10cm in height. Very thin stems. Grey scales.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
