There were a few of these clusters of something lying on the sand of a sea loch on Islay.
No interactions present.
It may be worth while to move this into invertebrates to get more interest as it is a type of coral.
Oops, it's a relative of the common barnacles,which are crustaceans, as are crabs, and indeed not fish
I had seen the other one with a better quality photo and recognized it strait away. It took a little bit of searching to track it down again.
Curious organism though.
