This may well be a Common Darter - but I can't say that I'm entirely convinced.
The apparently relatively dark legs would perhaps seem to rule out Southern Darter, and the lack of 'moustaches' is a relatively good feature to suggest that it isn't a Moustached/Vagrant Darter, but there are no visible features that I would consider to be diagnostic to allow an ID to species level.
It is definitely a darter species though, so I'm agreeing with the original ID.
Not a Red-veined Darter then? :-)
This is a mature male, so if it was a Red-veined Darter should show obvious red veins in the forward part of the wings, as well as pale pterostigma thickly bordered with black.
