Mature

It is a shame there are not any more mature ones to help and some macro shots too.Have agreed as might be as cannot think of anything else that looks like this.

these are mature!

I think these are very good photographs that show this stage of the species well.

Asexual Ascocoryne

This comment particularly, plus others on the sighting, explains to me why my ID books were of no help - they only show the mature fruiting bodies.
