Description:

Seen in a hedgerow, burrowed and flattened earth with a deep hole about 8 inches in diameter going under the roots of laurel bushes.

Hole

I'm afraid I can not see the hole here. This could be rabbit or rat at this size, were there any droppings near the entrance?
