puff ball on railway bank glasgow scotland, silver birch and hawthorn present. i hope it has a wonderful latin name as my daughter is convinced that these names are from a harry potter film.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

"Geastrum coronatum" - that should make your daughter very happy!

It is down as G.coronatum in mine,sometimes Ispot will change it for you,but my book has ones in it that have changed.

Geastrum coronatum looks

Geastrum coronatum looks completely different to this, might be some confusion with common and scientific names.
