Fern infection

Description:

I have no idea if this is a Gall or a fungus so it is going to have to go into other organisms. It has made the frond tie itself into almost a knot. There is no sign of a Gall as such when i tried to undo one of them, it just broke.

I looked it up

Dasineura filicina is not the one. The fact that i described it as a knot proved to be the clue when i did my web search later. I just could not find an image of the fly though.
