Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
As so often happens the photo looks quite distinctive until you try to ID the fungus! I'm quite new to fungi and find them difficult to identify. There are experts on iSpot with much more experience who might be able to help. However, in general it is much easier to narrow down the possibilities if you include several photos, including the underside showing the gills/pores and the stem along with info such as size, any particular smell and any colour changes or juice that appears if you bruise or cut it and the type of ground it was growing in.
Is there meant to be a photo of a nice Angles Shades moth to the right of the fungi?
