Longhorn beetle

Dark brown and off white beetle; textured bark effect. Antennae brown/black and white. Wedge shaped elytra with thorn-like points. 8mm.

Poor camouflage

For reasons best known to itself, this creature was attracted to a white towel within minutes of it being hung up.

i posted a picture a couple of weeks ago of the same beetle and that was attracted to the white ( well they were once ) garden chairs in my garden .

this one is known as Greater

this one is known as Greater thorn-tipped longhorn beetle, latin names very similar so easy to get the common name mixed up as well

Lesser/Greater longhorn

Thanks Jeremy for info which I have amended.
Personally, I think they're both great! Will now keep a sharp, and better informed, eye out for the lesser.
