Description:

Cap brown diam : 12cm smooth
Height 15cm
Tubes yellowish colour
Stipe 3cm thick : brown
Growing in vegetation on the side of a bank

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Boletus aereus

This Bolete is darker brown in colour, with a very matt cap, than the B. edulis and is usually associated with oak.
