Bracket on silver birch

Grey green coloured bracket, which resembled the shape of a horse's hoof growing on broken silver birch trunk. Hard and woody texture with horizontal grooves or bands over surface giving it a striped appearance, the underside was brown and firm. Bracket was 10 cm wide, 6 cm high and 6 cm deep. Several similar fungi on same trunk and other broken silver birch trunks nearby.
