Description:

Clumps of fungi on a well rotted section of silver birch trunk. Flattened convex circular caps 3.5 - 4.5 cm in diameter yellow edged and honey brown in the centre. Caps were closely packed and overlapping with fine dirty yellow coloured gills. Height up to ~7 cm, slender curved/angled yellowy brown stems 0.5 cm in diameter. Clumps cascade over remains of trunk. Scale: 10p coin ~2.5 cm.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
