Comma 1
Description:

I photographed this butterfly in my back garden. I note that Commas have been seen in Scotland, but most of the postings have been in the east of the country hence my wariness.

Comma has been spreading

Comma has been spreading north in the past few years and there is at least one confirmed record in Highland.

It would be worth reporting this to BC at http://butterfly-conservation.org/form/3196/Scottish_Small_Tortoiseshell... (ignore the Small Tort in the URL - it is about Comma).

There is another recent Scottish record at http://www.ispot.org.uk/node/217603.
