Bolete in sandy soil bank
Description:

Domed brown convex cap 5 cm diameter, underside pale brown pores. Height 7 cm, stem was mottled brown, cylindrical but tapering slightly towards the apex; 2 cm diameter at base, 1.5 cm diameter at cap. Scale 10p coin ~2.5 cm diameter.

I think this might be L

I think this might be L cyaneobasileucum a close cousin to L scabrum. When cut in half there is blue in the stipe base.
