Small white/grey puffball with tiny spikes on cap

Peter I don't think it is L

I don't think it is L perlatum which would have individual pyrimidal spines on the top rather than the convergent hairs of your find. Unfortunatley I cannot come up with anything better or put up a different identity.

Thank you for your comment Mal. Unfortunately I won't be back in the woods until the weekend when I will try and find another example and take some clearer photographs.

Peter in this case it is not clearer pictures needed it is a better knowledge from me. I know what L pyriforme looks like but very few of the other 12 or so species.
