Bracket fungus on silver birch

Bracket fungus growing on silver birch ~3 m from ground, crown of tree was broken over but still alive. Fungus was convex and semicircular in shape with a flat base, attached to tree trunk by a stem-like stucture. Upper surface was beige and zoned, the base was white and pored. Both surfaces were smooth and firm.

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
