Description:

Can anyone ID this moth which was feeding on a milk thistle flower soon after sunrise on Lesbos, Greece in early June? It looks a bit like a Drinker moth Philudoria potatoria to me, but the wing markings are not quite the same as a dark band runs to the wingtip in that species, but not in mine.

Bordered Straw ID

Looks like a very good match and its distribution extends to the Mediterranean area, so many thanks for the ID.
