Description:

The first specimen (3 photos) was growing in the open on short grass. It stood 6cm tall and measured 10cm across. The 2nd specimen, which I'm almost certain is the same species, was growing about 20m away in a clump of much longer grass. I didn't have a chance to measure or photograph it in any detail because someone was waiting to pick it but I would estimate that it was at least twice the size.
I think they thought it was shaggy inkcap but I'm not sure enough that it might be to suggest it as an ID. I hope it's edible or at least not fatal!
