This plant has been flattened (by animals) and has then regrown as shown, so would normally be approx. 70 cm high. Flowers about 1-1.5cm dia, deeper pinkish-purple than appears in photo. Flo. Aug-Sept. Leaves dark-green, shiny, with spines; stem ribbed, lighter green, also bearing some spines.
