It's great to see them out and about isn't it.
May I ask what time they emerged from the sett?

Badger-spotting tips

In my experience, sit upwind from the sett against a tree or similar to break up your outline, don't wear anything perfumed or any fly repellent (great fun in summer), and be prepared to be in position before dusk and to wait about 2 hours (literally) before the beasties finish sniffing the air and decide it's safe to come out. Well worth the wait though.

Badger watching

You could always 'cheat'. If you contact your local badger group (see Google) many have hides over badger sets and run guided badger watches. I have to say I'm always very lucky with badgers I never have to wait long, perhaps I smell like the great unwashed, sorry outdoors!
