Singles and pairs seen at date shown and on numerous occasions upto today's date.Although now regarded as a bird that has spread into urban and suburban areas, it is still a bird mainly of open grassland fringed with shrubs, in this area. To illustrate this, a magpie nest has been previously found (not by this observer) on this SSSI, no more than 5 feet above the ground in a stunted hawthorn tree/shrub.No shooting/keepered regime on this SSSI.
