This is the firs time that I have used this site and I'm far from certain that I am going in the right direction!
I would appreciate some khelp in identifying this fungus which (a guess) may be Coprinus spp.
This is one of the group which have now been grouped under the name of Parasola. It would take a micrscope to be sure but the most common one in grass is Parasola(Coprinus) plicatilis
