This is growing on an old conifer stump. 4.6 centimetres across and the only one seen. Like a very thick and firm custard.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
Interesting to note that someone has cut the mould sample away and removed it.
Probably in a petrie dish somewhere now then. The spores (and structure once sporing) are the only sure way of identifying most slime moulds.
I thought that it might be at the uni somewhere, in a students project.
