Description:

Found near the base of a pine tree on Iping Common near Midhurst West Sussex. It is around 30cm wide and slightly less across standing about 5cm above ground on a slope. The area has been scraped to encourage the return of heather but in this particular part there is leaf litter and some bracken.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

...and you can see what looks very much like a pine trunk nearby.
