tastes like horseradish but leaves much smaller and form a sprawling rosette, so not large and upright like horseradish. think its been deliberately planted and may have been an culinary herb a while back.

Hi Tim,
Thank you - I have crossed referenced with google images and - I am pretty certain you are correct.

I saw it in the beds in the yard behind the woollen mill and in the nearby bed there is some common sorrel.
I think maybe it’s been planted in association with the woollen mill perhaps because it can be used as a dye plant.
