Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
As I refer to David Boertmann's book, perhaps I should give more details.
D. Boertmann (2010), The genus Hygrocybe (2nd edn.) Fungi of Northern Europe, vol 1, Danish Mycological Society. ISBN 978-87-983581-7-6
Described as the 2nd edition, but the 1st edition exists as more than one revised printing. Stocked by specialist booksellers (Summerfield Books, Natural History Book Service, etc.) Full of superb photographs, full descriptions, essential for anyone taking a serious interest in these colourful and attractive fungi.
No I don't have a financial interest, though I have met the author and argued Hygrocybe conica taxonomy with him. A nice guy who really knows this group!
Many thanks for the ID and reference. I'll have to track down Boertmann's book as I suspect this site will turn up further species with a little searching. Much appreciated.
