Description:

Large c, 7" funnel shaped fungus on woodland floor. Obvious 'downy' appearance to cap and covered in woodland debrise.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Taste of the milk is usually one of the ID characters for the milkcaps which are a very common group of fungi. Only need to take a tiny amount on the tongue.
