Description:

Caterpillar 8-9 cm long, brownish with prominent bright green lateral stripe each side, variable brown and cream pattern along back, banded with black the entire length. Black and cream stripe on brown head. Spike at tail end.
Found on pavement beneath scots pine, moved to leaf litter nearby.
