Banded demoiselle

This looks to be a banded demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) male. The beautiful demoiselle (C. virgo) has a uniform dark colour to its wing, your photo clearly shows a dark vertical band through the wing. The blue colour tells me it is a male, the females are a green colour.

Beautiful photograph.
