Bats feeding on insect swarm.Anyone guess what bats from the blurred silhouettes? Near to lakes, not great pics I know

Unknown bat

I'm sorry but it is impossible to tell which species. It is usually impossible to tell from a silhouette anyway. It looks to be flying high and away from cover, therefore unlikely to be pipistrelle. However, any bat when faced with such a cloud of insects would risk predation.

Sometimes the location can give you a clue but you are in an area where there are at least five species to chose from, even daubenton is a possibility as you are over water.
