Common Stinkhorn?

Growing off the side of a gravel track in the Wilverly inclosure. Hopefully I have this right as a common stinkhorn?!


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Stinkhorn Identification

Yes Im pretty sure that is the common stinkhorn and a fantastic example. I was lucky enough to locate a stinkhorn egg whilst on a recent fungi foray. The fungi iteself can from in a matter of hours from the egg stage...amazing
