woodlouse-eating spider

Also known as the baked-bean spider - at least by my children! Its jaws work from side-to-side, supposedly to help it catch woodlice although I can't see why.

Perhaps it helps lever them off when they are clamped down on a log or similar? Never seen one in action though so no evidence for this!
