I was wondering if the frog hoppers were host specific and this would cvould be identified from the host plant

Some of the froghopper species are fairly catholic in their tastes and can be found on a wide variety of plants, I can't think of any "cuckoo-spit insects" that are specific to Ribwort Plantain.
