This is a female common blue, the orange lunes aren't as strong and fade out before the tips on the forewing with this species.

Ideally a photograph of the underside would be best to differentiate it from the Brown Argus. But I know from experience, they never do as they are told! Great photos though!!

Thanks for that.

I did actually try for the underside, but as you say they don't like to stay still! I followed this one for what felt like an age until it managed to vanish into thin air! Always amazes me how they do that...
