Giant knotweed

Shape of leaf base and length of leaves (25cm)suggest giant knotweed but it is covered in bristly hairs on stem and upper and lower leaf surfaces. I haven't found any reference to this character for giant knotweed. Perhaps it's a hybrid?

See previous ID. (not mine)Is this in a garden?I assume so.Rapid grower when established, would need training/pruning &female plant but not quite sure on the sexlife.Also known as Chinese Gooseberry.
